The"A is for Alport Syndrome" series began as an attempt to add levity to the seriousness of a chronic illness. We associate an alphabet story with the innocence of youth, but it is none the less useful as an organizational and educational tool.

Working with this series of 26 small prints offered me a focus and sense of control over a part of my life filled with uncertainty.
